Rajmandir Easily among the most unique and opulent
cine theatres in India, Rajmandir has beautiful well-maintained interiors. Equipped with latest acoustics and

Jawahar Kala Kendra
This art center is a dedicated
institution for the promotion of fine arts. Situated in a vast campus, it has
very well equipped mini theatre, open air theatre, art galleries, crafts
workshops and a rich library of books on fine arts. Within the campus is a
miniaturized created village which is popular venue for folk art and craft
shows. Friday theatre is very popular.
Auditoriums
One of India's most beautiful
auditorium and convention center, Birla Auditorium is a highly popular center for conferences
and cultural programs of international repute. Trade fairs and expositions are
also regularly held in this building's Exhibition Hall. Ravindra
Rangmanch in Ramniwas Bagh,
is also a popular venue for cultural programs, felicitations, musical nights
and art exhibits. Consists of a big theatre, an open-air theatre and an art
gallery.
Band Ceremony
Leading band players of Jaipur
assemble for one hour every Saturday evening and play traditional Rajasthani
tunes against the backdrop of the majestic Albert Hall in Ramniwas Bagh. The
Band Ceremony's regularity record isn't too good and to avoid
disappointment, please enquire first.
Ethnic village resorts
There are several ethnic
village resorts on the periphery of Jaipur. Designed in traditional rural
styles, these places offer various activities such as folk dances, songs, camel
rides, etc. and serve authentic Rajasthani meals. Popular ones are Apno Gaon,
Chokhi Dhani and Apno Rajasthan.
Amusement Parks
A hot favorite with the young crowd, Megabowl is India's
largest indoor amusement park at Malviya Nagar has latest computer/video
games and a bowling alley. Wonderland and Fun Kingdom are outdoor
parks with roller coasters etc. Pink Pearl Water Park is quite
popular too.
Hip Hangouts
Nestled between Birla Auditorium and old estates, Statue Circle is a pleasant
and popular spot for jogging, dharnas (sit-down protests) assembling and
eating local snacks. The impressive Secretariat and Ashok Club are in walking
distance. Gaurav Towers is more popular with high spenders who frequent its shopping
arcades, MacDonald's restaurant, and Megabowl (see above).
Rambagh Polo Ground and Golf Club
A huge and
historical ground full of greenery, just behind Rambagh Palace, hosts many
international polo tournaments. Elephant Polo is an invention of Jaipur. Rambagh
Golf Club permits non-members to swing a club for a fee.

A passion with just about everyone in
Jaipur, especially in winters. January 14 is the gala day –
blaring music and the entire city on rooftops!
