Excursions

Both Jaipur (258 kms.) and Agra (199 kms.) are not too far from Delhi, and the three cities are popularly referred as the Golden Triangle of tourism in India. While many tourists do these two cities (particularly, Agra) as a day excursion, we strongly feel that these destinations warrant much more than a fleeting visit.

• Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary
  Just beyond Gurgaon is a shallow lake which attracts several members of the crane family including the indigenous species of India- the Sarus and migratory ones like Demoiselle cranes. Best time: November to February.
   
• Surajkund
  This is also a historic site of a lake and a ruined Sun temple built as the first settlement of Rajputs. In February, Surajkund is the venue of a lively crafts fair which draws craftsmen from all over the country, and tourists from all over the world.
